If Lamborghini is going the way of Ferrari and the upcoming 2015 Cabrera is !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , then is that it? Is this the end of Lamborghini? Because really, what's the point of a Lambo if there's no manual? This is madness.
Oh well, at least there's always the !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

UPDATE: OK, what the hell !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ? Why the lies?

The point will probably remain it having a giant v10 or v12 making tons of noise and being awesome.

The FP article indicates that 6MT will be the standard transmission in the Gallardo successor.

I used to read CarBuzz a lot before I found this place.
Never look back... Never look back...

Which article? I searched the FP for Lamborghini articles before posting trying avoid exactly this.

It's certainly true future Lamborghinis will have a thunderous engine but they'll automatically determine the best gear for you. Therefore taking away the fun by taking over the control.

No, dual clutches have a manual mode that works very well you can still shift gears you just don't have to total your gear box within 10,000 miles shifting as fast.

The manual stays, Lamborghini knows that people actually bought the damn thing in sufficient numbers to make it worth while.
Ferrari doesn't because it doesn't fit with their ethos. They are a race team that sells cars. They won't settle for inferior tech in their cars, it just doesn't fit with their brand.
Besides, I don't know which I'd rather have. the current e-gear is actually fun, the gated manual is of course a gated manual, but the S-Tronic 7 speed will be a welcome upgrade for those that got tired of the savagery of the e-gear.

Well, then it won't be the same driving a "supercar" without a gear shift on the centre console and a third pedal.

I still don't know why I read Carbuzz. I guess it's because when I have nothing better to do I pull up the I app I have for it on my phone. But yeah. Iffy info, usally late, mediocre writing, and a community filled with bros, ricers, and hopeless keyboard warriors.

Have you ever driven a Ferrari or a Lamborghini with paddle shifters?
![]() 09/05/2013 at 22:26 |

Of course no. I like to keep my left hand on the gear shift like a badarse.

Haha, well I drove a 458 and trust me, it's just as fun to drive.

Ugh, moan moan moan. It's just a gearbox. Regardless of whether they offer a manual for 10 or 12 of the 2000-odd customers they'll be expecting, the rest of the car will be awesome.

The article from Car Buzz appears to be inaccurate, so this whole post should be disregarded anyway.
But if it were true that Lamborghini actually intended to do away with the manual, then yes, I would be quite saddened as this is perhaps my favorite car brand to lust over.

Wicked but I still prefer working the gear shift.
